Uneven Odds

Uneven odds is a game that I am currently working on. It is a somewhat luck and chance based rouge-like game where you play as a cyberpunk hero clearing street after street of illegal aliens. Uneven Odds has card related features wherein the character you choose has a corresponding 'deck', a deck is not exactly cards in Uneven Odds so much as they are abilities. All abilities must be actively played on either the player or the enemy.

So with this simple premise and game-play loop, Uneven Odds focuses instead on the adaptability of the player. The game will be punishing and the enemies will be individually distinguishable with their own flair and weaknesses, you must learn to exploit your enemies' weaknesses and change your strategy on the go. The luck factor also comes in play as many things have chaotic values and the underlying turn to turn structure may yield different results, this is completely out of the player's control, what is within their control however, is how they adapt and overcome under pressure.
